Karatay Municipality Nature School welcomed 29 international students.
As part of the "What About Us" environmental awareness project carried out by Karatay Mehmet Hanife Yapıcı Anadolu High School under the Erasmus program, teachers and students from Germany, Sweden, and Croatia were hosted at the Karatay Municipality Nature School.
The guests had an enjoyable day at the Nature School, where they both learned and had fun. During the visit, the students participated in the educational and enjoyable activities offered by the Nature School.
The group of 29 participants took part in hands-on activities in the wooden, kitchen, and clay workshops at the Nature School. In the wooden workshop, spinning top making, in the kitchen workshop, cookie and pastry preparation, and in the clay workshop, ceramic shaping activities attracted great interest.
Additionally, the guests who worked in the greenhouse were informed about the importance of heirloom seeds. Throughout the program, the students had the opportunity to explore nature through an orienteering activity and spend time with farm animals.
The young participants, who spent time in a nature-filled environment, gained knowledge about sustainable living, environmental awareness, and eco-friendly practices.
At the visit, which Erasmus students left with satisfaction, the students expressed their happiness about spending a day surrounded by nature at the Nature School and thanked Karatay Municipality for its hospitality.
