Hundreds of Saplings Planted in Selçuklu

The Selçuklu Environment and Zero Waste Platform planted 1,200 saplings with the participation of 530 environmental volunteers.

Operating under the umbrella of the Selçuklu Municipality City Council, the Environment and Zero Waste Platform highlighted environmental awareness once again with a tree planting event.

In the event coordinated by the Selçuklu Municipality Zero Waste and Climate Change Directorate and the Parks and Gardens Directorate, 530 environmental volunteers planted 1,200 saplings.

Before the event, expert personnel provided the volunteers with practical information about tree planting and emphasized environmental awareness issues.

Selçuklu Mayor Ahmet Pekyatırmacı stated, "Through our Zero Waste and Climate Change Directorate, we continue to bring together thousands of environmental volunteers in our city, Konya, and in Selçuklu for our environmental activities."
