Karatay Lavender Days Draw Record Crowds

The 5th Traditional Karatay Lavender Days, organized by Karatay Municipality, welcomed visitors with three days of vibrant events and activities. Held in Türkiye's largest lavender garden, the festival attracted record-breaking attendance, drawing visitors from across the country, particularly from Konya.

Throughout the festival, the breathtaking purple lavender fields provided a unique setting where nature, culture, art, and entertainment came together. The event offered visitors of all ages an unforgettable three-day experience in Türkiye's largest lavender garden.

Visitors from Konya and many other parts of Türkiye spent time immersed in nature, captured countless photos among the vibrant lavender fields, and enthusiastically participated in the festival's wide range of activities. The three-day event concluded with the highest attendance in its history.

Festivalgoers said Karatay Lavender Days continues to grow stronger each year and expressed their satisfaction with this year's organization. They thanked Karatay Municipality, especially Mayor Hasan Kılca, along with everyone who contributed to the event.

Ramazan Akgüs, who attended the festival for the second time, said this year's event was just as enjoyable as the inaugural edition and thanked Karatay Mayor Hasan Kılca for his efforts.

Halil İbrahim Güneyçakıl, who visited from Konya, praised the event in every respect, saying, "The large crowd speaks for itself. It has been a wonderful festival, and we, the people of Konya, are very pleased."

Talha Bayram Tokoğlu, who traveled from Samsun to Karatay, said he was impressed by both the lavender garden and the festival grounds. "Everything has been beautifully prepared. Everyone should come and see this place," he said.

Nebi Kemal Çiftçi, who attended from Karaman, also praised the atmosphere in the lavender garden, saying, "This place is beautiful and full of life. Every detail has been carefully considered." He thanked everyone involved in organizing the festival.

Throughout the festival, Karatay Mayor Hasan Kılca met with visitors across the event grounds, visiting each exhibition stand and speaking with local producers and guests. He took time to engage with children, young people, families, and visitors from outside the city, while also listening to their suggestions and feedback. Mayor Kılca posed for commemorative photos with festivalgoers and joined in the celebrations by touring the lavender garden in one of the classic cars displayed at the festival by the Konya Classic Car Association.
