Konya Celebrates Commemoration of Atatürk, Youth and Sports Day

The Commemoration of Atatürk, Youth and Sports Day was celebrated in Konya with various events.

The celebrations on May 19 began with a wreath-laying ceremony at the Atatürk Monument. The program continued at the Selçuklu Municipality International Sports Hall, where participants observed a moment of silence followed by the singing of the Turkish National Anthem.

During the ceremony, national weightlifter Aysel Özkan recited the Athlete’s Oath. The event concluded with performances prepared by students.

The ceremony was attended by protocol members, students, athletes, and citizens.
