Konya Expands Green Areas

The Konya Metropolitan Municipality has started demolition work on structures located behind the Meydan Houses that fall within green areas after completing the expropriation process.

The Mayor of Konya Metropolitan Municipality, Uğur İbrahim Altay, stated that Konya is a highly valuable city, not only for its historical and cultural riches but also for its environmental and natural beauty. He emphasized that they are meticulously continuing the efforts that add value to the city in this regard.

The Konya Metropolitan Municipality has initiated demolition work for five more buildings located in green areas and classified as risky on Sultanşah Street in Ferhuniye Neighborhood, following the completion of expropriation efforts for the previous five buildings.

After the demolitions are completed in the area behind the Meydan Houses, the goal is to enhance the green space by implementing further improvements.
