The "Carbon Summit" was held in collaboration between Selcuklu Municipality and Ankara Information Technology to raise awareness about "Climate Change" and "Green Transformation."
Selcuklu Municipality continues to keep environmental issues on the agenda and lead initiatives in this area.
As part of these efforts, the "Carbon Summit" was organized under the auspices of Selcuklu Municipality in collaboration with Ankara Information Technology. The event aimed to create awareness about "Climate Change" and "Green Transformation" while providing institutions and organizations with roadmaps to measure and improve their carbon emissions in line with global standards.
The summit highlighted key topics such as the Paris Climate Agreement and Turkey’s role, the country’s responsibilities under the Green Deal, strategies for achieving carbon neutrality, global warming and carbon footprint management, the importance of measuring and reducing carbon emissions, improvement methods in compliance with international standards, climate change in municipal governance, Selçuklu Municipality’s carbon footprint calculation and sustainable local government practices, border carbon regulations and carbon taxation, as well as opportunities and challenges for companies and institutions under the European Union’s new regulations.
At the summit, the shared responsibilities in combating climate change were once again emphasized, while the importance of innovative solutions for carbon footprint management was highlighted.
