Meke Lake Brought Back to Life

Konya Metropolitan Municipality continues the Meke Lake Wastewater Recovery Facility Project, with the first phase completed in Karapınar.

As one of Konya's strategic initiatives in tourism, environment, and agriculture, the project aims to preserve the unique beauty of Meke Lake and carry it into the future.

Konya Metropolitan Mayor Uğur İbrahim Altay stated that, in collaboration with the Ministry of Environment, Urbanization, and Climate Change, they will transfer the treated water from the wastewater treatment facility established in Karapınar to Meke Lake, aiming to protect and sustain the lake known as the "Evil Eye Bead of the World."
