The "Meram Stray Animal Natural Habitat," offering a permanent and humane solution to the street animal issue, has become an example for all of Turkey.
The "Stray Animal Natural Habitat," established by Meram Municipality for stray dogs in the Sefaköy area, covering 70,000 square meters, is attracting attention from many different cities across the country.
Guests visiting Meram to examine the facility and learn more about the project are gathering information from Meram Municipality officials to implement a similar project in their own cities.
In this context, the "Meram Stray Animal Natural Habitat" hosted officials from Kahramanmaraş Metropolitan Municipality. The officials, who toured the facility, received information about the establishment process and services of the area.
Officials from Kahramanmaraş stated that this pioneering project quickly captured the attention of many other cities and mentioned that they plan to use Meram Municipality's work as a model for their own city.
Experts, expressing that they were deeply impressed by the facility, praised the project initiated under the leadership of Meram Mayor Mustafa Kavuş. They highlighted that the project not only provides stray dogs with a healthier, more natural, and safer environment but also ensures the comfort and safety of residents, which they greatly appreciated.
