Selçuk Municipality is adding another symbolic place to
tourism in Konya.
Last June of the previous year, the second phase of
restoration works at Gevale Castle in Konya was completed.
Once the restoration works are completed, the historical
Gevale Castle, which will become one of the city's symbols, will be easily
visible from all of Konya.
While the works continue at full speed, Selçuklu Mayor Ahmet
Pekyatırmacı made an 'exciting' announcement on his social media account.
On the other hand, Mayor Pekyatırmacı, in a statement about
the project, said, “This place is both an area where Konya can be observed 360
degrees and an important settlement area with a castle dating back to the
Ancient Era. It bears the traces of many civilizations for thousands of years,
from Hellenistic, Roman, Byzantine, Seljuk, Karamanids, to the Ottoman. We aim
to make a significant contribution to Konya's tourism and skyline. I extend my
thanks to everyone involved in this effort.”
