Projects Underway in Konya to Enhance Environmental Awareness

The "I'm Also Here for 42 Thousand Pearls" project, supported by Necmettin Erbakan University (NEÜ) and Konya Organized Industrial Zone (OSB), was introduced as part of the Zero Waste Campaign, which is under the patronage of Emine Erdoğan, the wife of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan. The project aims to raise awareness of zero waste among primary school students and make them more environmentally conscious.

During a meeting held at a hotel in Konya, the introduction of an educational set consisting of 5 magazines prepared by "Environmental Kids Education Publications” was conducted.

Şamil Albayrak, the General Manager of "Environmental Kids Education Publications”, stated to journalists that through their efforts, they have taken the children's aspect of the "Zero Waste Campaign," conducted under the patronage of Emine Erdoğan, the wife of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.

Albayrak, explaining the reason behind naming it "I'm Also Here for 42 Thousand Pearls," with an emphasis on "pearl" to symbolize purity and cleanliness, said, "We have an educational set prepared for educating and raising awareness among children on this matter. We are a private sector company that delivers this educational set to children through sponsors. So far, we have reached 2 million children through 500 public and private sector organizations nationwide. We are currently organizing the same campaign here in Konya. Our goal is to reach this educational set to 42 thousand children."

As part of the campaign, the educational set prepared will be delivered to 42,000 out of 120,000 students in grades 2, 3, and 4 in Konya by the end of September.
