As part of the "Descendants of Seljuk in the Footsteps
of the Ottoman" cultural project organized by Selçuklu Municipality since
2017, students, retirees, and women living in Selçuklu district continue to
travel to Bilecik-Söğüt, the lands where the Ottoman Empire was founded.
Selçuklu Municipality, known for its major cultural events
in Konya, is opening a new door for the descendants of Seljuk by organizing
cultural trips to Bilecik-Söğüt, the center of a grand history that stretches
from the Beylik era to the Ottoman Empire.
As part of the project, cultural tours will be organized
from Konya, the capital of Seljuk, to Bursa, which served as the capital of the
Ottoman Empire.
The descendants of Seljuk, along with the city of saints and
mystics, will have a fulfilling day in Bursa, a city renowned for its rich
history and culture, as part of the cultural tour. Bursa, the first capital of
the mighty Ottoman Empire, will offer a memorable experience.
This historic city, renowned as "Green Bursa" for
its lush vegetation, numerous monumental trees, and healing thermal springs,
has attracted the attention of many travelers and historians both in the past
and present. Bursa is a city with a spiritual climate where great scholars and
religious figures have emerged.
