The Selçuklu Second-Hand Market, a key initiative under Selçuklu Municipality’s zero waste program, was held for the 20th time.
Through this project, carried out to prevent environmental pollution and overconsumption, citizens are able to contribute to their household economy.
At the market, a wide variety of items can be found at affordable prices, ranging from cup sets and plates to clothing and bags, as well as old books, toys, small electronic devices, and radios. Products were offered for sale at 300 booths in the Selçuklu Second-Hand Market.
Selçuklu Mayor Ahmet Pekyatırmacı stated, “As Selçuklu Municipality, we continue to develop exemplary projects focused on environmental awareness and zero waste consciousness. Our Selçuklu Second-Hand Market, held regularly every month, is one such initiative. Launched to prevent waste, promote conscious use of resources, and raise zero waste awareness, the market continues to receive strong interest from our citizens. Through this project, residents contribute to their household budgets by selling unused items while supporting an environmentally responsible approach. This initiative aims to curb excessive consumption, promote a culture of reuse, and raise awareness for a sustainable future.”
