Sille Takes Steps for Nature

The Selçuklu Municipality organized an event titled "Taking Steps for Nature" in Sille in honor of World Cleanup Day, promoting environmental awareness.

The event continued with a nature walk in Sille Neighborhood, where environmental volunteers collected waste from the area. At the end of the event, the collected waste was taken to a recycling center for sorting. A total of 150 environmental volunteers participated in the event.

Selçuklu Mayor Ahmet Pekyatırmacı stated, "As Selçuklu Municipality, we place great importance on environmental issues and awareness. We want to leave a cleaner and more livable environment for future generations. In this regard, our Climate Change and Zero Waste Directorate is conducting exemplary projects. On World Cleanup Day, a wonderful environmental event was held in our Sille Neighborhood with our environmental volunteers. Selçuklu is a district where awareness of environmental issues is at a high level, and this topic is one of our most sensitive areas. We continue our efforts to raise awareness and consciousness about protecting the environment in our community. We aim for our citizens to take responsibility and assist us in this regard. We are pleased that our call is being met by our residents. On this occasion, I would like to thank the environmental volunteers who organized the event."
