The Most Iconic Library in Turkey

The construction works of the City Library, which will be established in the city by the Konya Metropolitan Municipality, are ongoing.

Konya Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Uğur İbrahim Altay, who conducted inspections at the City Library construction site, reminded that the library is one of the 20 different projects included in the Dârülmülk Project.

Altay said, "We are building one of Turkey's most iconic library buildings. It will be a structure with study areas, tutorial centers, a digital library, and a large library structure. One important aspect of this building is that we shaped the library building according to the form of the existing trees without touching any of them. Additionally, in cooperation with the United Nations, in Konya, one of the four pilot cities worldwide, we will construct the first examples of Zero Carbon buildings. We are making intense efforts. Hopefully, when completed, we will have built a cultural center where our youth can spend their time and study continuously."
