Thousands of People Filled Mevlana Square for the Eid Prayer

In Konya, thousands of citizens filled Mevlana Square on the morning of Eid al-Adha to perform the salat al eid.

The congregation that came to Sultan Selim Mosque in Mevlana Square to perform the Eid prayer couldn't fit inside the mosque and filled the square instead.

After listening to the sermon, the thousands of people who filled the square stood in rows and performed the Eid prayer. Following the prayer, they all prayed together.

Some of the citizens also visited the cemetery after the prayer.

Ibrahim Kılınçaslan, who visited the cemetery to pay respects to his loved ones after performing the prayer, said, "There is a sense of relief in a person after performing the prayer and coming to the cemetery. We visited those who have passed away. Now, we are going to sacrifice our animals. May Allah bless us with many more festive occasions."
