Turkey's Most Comprehensive Children's Event is Beginning

The “Şivlilik Children's Festival,” organized in collaboration between the Konya Metropolitan Municipality and the Selçuklu Municipality, will begin on January 10th. Mayor Ahmet Pekyatırmacı invited all children to the event, which will last for 5 days and feature various activities, musicals, and performances.

Selçuklu Municipality, together with Konya Metropolitan Municipality, is bringing the traditional "Şivlilik" celebration, which is only celebrated in Konya in the world, to children in a festival atmosphere. Various gifts will be distributed to children at the Şivlilik Children's Festival, where children will have a great time.

The Şivlilik Children’s Festival, taking place at Selçuklu Congress Center, will begin on Wednesday, January 10th, and continue until Sunday, January 14th. This unique event, thoughtfully designed for children’s happiness, will be the only one of its kind in its field. The organization will welcome guests from 11:00 AM to 11:00 PM, ensuring that every detail is considered for the enjoyment of the children.

The festival program, which will continue for 5 days, will feature musicals of beloved cartoon and animation characters that children adore during the afternoon sessions. In the afternoons, conferences on child development and children's success, presented by expert authors in the field, will be offered to parents.

Selçuklu Mayor Ahmet Pekyatırmacı expressed their commitment to passing down the century-old tradition of Şivlilik to future generations. He mentioned that this year's 3rd Şivlilik Children's Festival will be organized in collaboration with Konya Metropolitan Municipality as part of their efforts to preserve and share the cultural heritage with the next generations.
