The President of the Supreme Election Council (YSK), Mr.
Yener, announced that the candidates did not meet the eligibility requirements
for the Presidential Election, and it has been decided that the second round of
elections will take place on Sunday, May 28th.
According to unofficial but definitive results in the 28th
Term General Election for Members of Parliament in Konya, the following parties
have won seats: AK Party with 9 seats, MHP with 2 seats, CHP with 2 seats, İYİ Party with 1 seat, and the
Yeniden Refah Party with 1 seat. In
these elections, AK Party lost 1 seat, while MHP, CHP, and İYİ Party maintained
their number of representatives. Hasan Ekici from the Gelecek Party also
entered the Parliament from the CHP list.
In Konya, where the number of eligible voters is 1,630,438,
a total of 1,453,857 people cast their votes. According to the unofficial but
definitive results from the Provincial Election Board, the AK Party received
680,537 votes, MHP received 204,156 votes, CHP received 188,912 votes, İYİ
Party received 125,128 votes, and the Yeniden Refah Party received 73,724
votes. Based on these results, the elected members of parliament are as
follows: Tahir Akyürek, Orhan Erdem, Selman Özboyacı, Meryem Göka, Abdullah
Ağralı, Mehmet Baykan, Ziya Altunyaldız, Latif Selvi, Mustafa Hakan Özer from
the AK Party; Mustafa Kalaycı and Konur Alp Koçak from MHP; Barış Bektaş and
Hasan Ekici from CHP; Ünal Karaman from İYİ Party; and Ali Yüksel from the
Yeniden Refah Party.
The Cumhur Alliance (Alliance of the ruling AK Party and
MHP) received 958,471 votes, while the Nation Alliance (Alliance of CHP and İYİ
Party) received 314,040 votes. In the 2018 elections, AK Party won 10 seats,
MHP won 2 seats, CHP won 1 seat (plus 1 from the SP quota), and İYİ Party won 1
seat. In these elections, AK Party lost 1 seat, while MHP, CHP, and İYİ Party
maintained their number of representatives. Hasan Ekici, who entered the
Parliament from the CHP list representing the Gelecek Party, was also elected.
