President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan inaugurated the Konya Ring Road.
The Konya Ring Road project, which will significantly enhance the city's value and noticeably reduce traffic congestion, has been officially opened. Inaugurated by President Erdoğan, the Ring Road project promises to bring relief to the region.
President Erdoğan stated, “Since the day we took office, we have been working tirelessly to serve our brothers and sisters in Konya,” emphasizing, “We have mobilized all our resources for the development of the city. We have made great efforts to support progress in all areas, especially in agriculture. By constructing roads along the East-West and South-North axes, we have strengthened the transportation network. So far, we have invested a total of 146.7 billion lira in Konya. With the completion of the Eğiste Hadim Viaduct, we connected Konya to the Mediterranean. Additionally, we extended the length of divided roads in the city from 167 kilometers in 2002 to 1,286 kilometers in 22 years. We will complete our ongoing projects as quickly as possible and make them available to the people of Konya."
President Erdoğan stated, "The construction of the 46-kilometer Adana-Aksaray-Ankara-Afyon connection is ongoing. 43.25% of the 2 trillion 348 million TL project has been completed. The project includes 15 interchanges, 9 diamond interchanges, and 3 single-bridge overpass interchanges, including 3 cloverleaf interchanges. Work is continuing on the 16th kilometer of the Adana-Aksaray road. With a 30-kilometer road, we are reducing travel time between the 30-kilometer and 40-kilometer segments from 39 minutes to 17 minutes. Annually, this road will save us 6 billion lira."
