The Chess Tournament organized by Selcuklu Municipality has begun. The tournament, held at the Selcuklu Municipality Indoor Sports Hall, attracted 621 athletes from 32 different cities.

In the tournament, which will take place in 8 different categories, the top three athletes will be awarded trophies, medals, and cash prizes.

The opening ceremony of the tournament, held at the Selçuklu Municipality Indoor Sports Hall, was attended by Selçuklu Mayor Ahmet Pekyatırmacı, Konya Provincial Director of Youth and Sports Birdal Öztürk, President of Selçuklu Belediyespor Club Mustafa Yavuz Tezcan, Provincial Director of Sports Services Bilal Yavaş, and sports managers. In addition to the athletes, there was also a strong attendance from their families.
