EWF Development Camp Commences in Konya

The European Weightlifting Federation (EWF) has started the Stars Training Camp, which is organized every year, in Konya.

The camp, which will continue until August 20, 2023, organized by the EWF and the Turkish Weightlifting Federation, has the participation of 39 athletes and 21 coaches from 11 countries (Portugal, Austria, Belgium, Czech Republic, Croatia, Poland, Slovakia, Great Britain, San Marino, Finland, Ireland).

With the support of the European Weightlifting Federation, the camp, which is organized in a different country every year, aims to refresh training knowledge alongside athletes and coaches, and stands out for enhancing the training techniques of national athletes by arranging cultural and social activities."

The training camp is taking place at the Konya TOHM center under the coordination of Colin Buckley, the representative of the European Weightlifting Federation.

Talat Ünlü, the President of the Turkish Weightlifting Federation, who is overseeing the training of coaches and athletes on-site, along with EWF President Antonio Conflitti, stated, “We are pleased to host all of our athletes and coaches from 11 countries here in Konya. I thank EWF President Conflitti for coming to Konya and supporting the camp.”
