Konya Metropolitan Municipality Sports Club continues to be one of the rising forces in sports in Konya, achieving success across different disciplines.
The Umitler Nazım Canca European Judo Cup held in Antalya witnessed fierce competition among athletes from across Europe.
The organization, included in the activity program of the European Judo Union (EJU) and the Turkish Judo Federation, brought together 550 athletes from 21 countries, including 222 women, who stepped onto the tatami.
Competing in the 40 kg category, Konya Metropolitan Municipality’s athlete Havva Sena Tokmak successfully represented both Turkey and Konya with her strong performance.
Havva Sena secured the bronze medal after defeating Azerbaijan’s Sunay Salamova.
Ramazan Yılmaz, an athlete of the Konya Metropolitan Municipality Sports Club cycling team who continues his preparations for the U-23 European Championship, successfully represented Türkiye with the national team in Australia.
Competing in the UCI Track World Cup I races against the world’s top track cyclists for Olympic points, the young athlete delivered an impressive performance.
Yılmaz finished 5th in the elimination race, coming close to the podium among strong competitors. He also drew attention by finishing first in the Tempo Race, one of the stages of the Omnium discipline.
Konya Metropolitan Municipality Sports Club cycling team, which has carried Konya’s name to the top in cycling with its strong performances this season, added another major success to its achievements. Young athlete Mustafa Tarakçı claimed championships in two categories.
The Grand Prix Apollon Temple UCI 1.2 Road Race, included in the 2026 calendar of the Union Cycliste Internationale (UCI) and the Turkish Cycling Federation, was held in Manavgat, Antalya. The race brought together 25 teams and 140 athletes from 31 different countries.
In the race, where the Konya Metropolitan Municipality Sports Club cycling team also competed after a powerful start to the season, young athlete Mustafa Tarakçı refused to give up despite experiencing a crash during the race. Tarakçı crossed the finish line in first place with a time of 2 hours 49 minutes and 34 seconds.
Delivering an outstanding performance on the 124.5 kilometer course that started at the Port of the Ancient City of Side, Tarakçı achieved a remarkable success by becoming champion in both the Elite category and the U 23 category.
After becoming champions in the İsmail Örge U16 Boys League held in Konya, Konya Metropolitan Municipality Sports Club qualified for the U16 Boys Regional Championship and continued its consistent performance in the tournament held in Adana.
Achieving successful results in the Regional Championships, where a total of 141 teams competed, Konya Metropolitan Municipality Sports Club earned the right to participate in the Anatolian Championship.
The Anatolian Championship will be held in Kayseri between April 6 and 10, 2026. The yellow and black team will compete for a place in the Turkish Championship.
Konya Metropolitan Municipality Sports Club, competing in the Konya Volleyball Provincial Representation Young Men’s Super League, started the season with a victory.
The new season excitement has begun in the Young Men’s Super League, where Konya Metropolitan Municipality Sports Club competes alongside Karatay Belediyespor, Pema College, and Seydişehir Gymnastics Sports Club.
Facing Karatay Belediyespor at the Konya Sports and Congress Center Small Hall, Konya Metropolitan Municipality Sports Club won the match 3-0 with set scores of 25-9, 25-7, and 25-9.
The yellow and black team will face Pema College on Tuesday, March 10. The match, which will be played at the Konya Sports and Congress Center Small Hall, will start at 22:00.
A bronze medal came from the taekwondo branch. At the Schools Youth Taekwondo Group Qualifiers held in Karaman between March 6 and 8, Konya Metropolitan Municipality Sports Club athlete Tevfik Eren Ata finished third in the 73 kg category and won the bronze medal.
With this result, Tevfik Eren qualified to compete in the Turkish finals.
The Turkish Cup 2nd Stage Races, included in the activity calendar of the Turkish Cycling Federation, were held with the participation of 400 athletes from 29 provinces.
Konya Metropolitan Municipality Sports Club achieved great success in the highly competitive races, winning a total of 11 medals, including 4 gold, 3 silver, and 4 bronze.
In the junior men’s road race, Efe Ahmet Sakar won a bronze medal, while Mehmet Bekir Çetintaş also secured a bronze medal in the Star A boys category.
In the criterium category, Göktürk Yüzerler won the gold medal by finishing first in the junior men’s race, while Muhammed Emir Emişçi finished second and earned the silver medal.

Konya Metropolitan Municipality Sports Club finished the junior men’s team classification as champions.
In the junior men’s overall classification, Göktürk Yüzerler took first place and won the gold medal, while Muhammed Emir Emişçi earned the bronze medal.
In the Star A boys overall classification, Mehmet Bekir Çetintaş finished first and won the gold medal, while Tuna Başbuğ claimed the silver medal in the Star B boys category.
