Konya Basketball Team Secures 18th Win of the Season

The 23rd week of matches in the Turkish Basketball League has been completed.

Konya Büyükşehir Belediyespor hosted Darüşşafaka Lassa on its home court in front of its fans. The yellow and black side defeated their struggling opponents 84–55, adding another home victory to their record.

Battling for a playoff spot in the league, Konya Büyükşehir Belediyespor established clear superiority by finishing all four quarters ahead against the Istanbul side, who are aiming to escape the lower ranks.

The yellow and black side closed the first quarter ahead 22–11 and extended the lead to 20 points in the second quarter, heading into the locker room comfortably at 44–24. Increasing their tempo in the third quarter, Konya Büyükşehir Belediyespor put on an almost impenetrable defensive display and carried the score to 66–36 before the final period.

Maintaining their comfortable performance in the final period, Konya Büyükşehir Belediyespor secured an 84–55 victory on their home court in front of their supporters.

With this result, Konya Büyükşehir Belediyespor claimed their 18th win of the season, moved up to 41 points, and maintained their position in fourth place in the league.

Boosted by their home victory, Konya Büyükşehir Belediyespor will visit iLab Basketbol in the 24th week of the league on Saturday, February 14. The game, to be played at the Beşiktaş GAİN Sports Complex, will tip off at 1:00 p.m.
