Konya Büyükşehir Belediyespor Continues to Represent Konya in the Best Possible Way

Konya Büyükşehir Belediyespor continues to be one of the rising values of Konya in the field of sports with its achievements across different disciplines.


The 8th International Tour of Mersin, included in the activity program of the Union Cycliste Internationale (UCI) and the Turkish Cycling Federation, was held between April 9 and 12.


Konya Büyükşehir Belediyespor cyclists continued to make a strong impact on the season with their successful results in the races, which featured 112 athletes from 18 teams representing 13 countries.


Standing out with their sprint performances in mass finishes, the Konya Büyükşehir Belediyespor riders won 1 gold, 1 silver, and 2 bronze medals, and also secured the green jersey.


In the second stage of the tour, which started in Gülnar and finished in Erdemli, the athletes covered 124.2 kilometers. Konya Büyükşehir Belediyespor riders Ramazan Yılmaz and Mustafa Tarakcı added another success to their achievements. In Stage 2, Ramazan Yılmaz finished second, earning the silver medal, while Mustafa Tarakcı finished third just behind his teammate, winning the bronze medal.


Konya Büyükşehir Belediyespor once again left its mark on the final stage of the Tour of Mersin. The 120-kilometer fourth stage, which started from Mersin Cumhuriyet Square and passed through Akdeniz, Yenişehir, and Mezitli districts, finished at Özgecan Aslan Peace Square. The riders received applause for their strong performance in the challenging race.


Mustafa Tarakcı completed the race in first place, while Ramazan Yılmaz finished third and Burak Abay finished fourth. With this result, Mustafa Tarakcı also secured the green jersey with the points he collected.


Konya Büyükşehir Belediyespor U16 Boys Basketball Team, which became the undefeated Konya champion by winning all 18 matches in the İsmail Örge U16 Boys Basketball League, continues its strong rise in the 2025–2026 season.


Representing Konya at the Anatolian Championship held in Kayseri between April 6 and 10, the team advanced to the Turkey Championship by winning its promotion group match.


Competing in a tournament featuring 16 teams in 4 groups, Konya Büyükşehir Belediyespor finished second in Group B, winning 2 of 3 matches. In the promotion stage, they first advanced due to their opponent Çukurova University’s forfeit, then defeated Karatay Belediyespor 86–55 at Kadir Has Congress Center Sports Hall.


With this result, Konya Büyükşehir Belediyespor secured a place in the Turkey Championship.


The U16 Turkey Championship will be held in Konya between May 18 and 24 with the participation of 8 teams, including Anadolu Efes (A), Ankara Genç Magic Hands, Bahçeşehir Okulları (B), Beşiktaş, Çaba Spor, Darüşşafaka, and Yeşim Spor.
