Konya Büyükşehir Belediyespor Wins Two Balkan Judo Titles and Six Cycling Medals

Konya Büyükşehir Belediyespor’s judo team has added another achievement to its growing list of international successes.


Competing at the Balkan Junior Judo Championships held in Bucharest, Romania, Fatma Zehra Meki claimed the gold medal and the Balkan title in the women’s 48 kg category, while Kevser Dilbirliği also became Balkan champion after winning the women’s 78 kg division.


At the championship, Konya Büyükşehir Belediyespor judo coach Şeyda Aydoğan also served as a coach for the Turkish National Judo Team. Playing a key role in the athletes’ success, Aydoğan represented Türkiye on the international stage, once again demonstrating that the club’s coaches continue to make valuable contributions to Turkish judo.


The two gold medals won at the Balkan Junior Judo Championships highlighted Konya Büyükşehir Belediyespor’s strong youth development system and systematic training program, further reinforcing the club’s continued rise in judo.


Konya Büyükşehir Belediyespor Cyclists Win Six Medals in Siirt


Konya Büyükşehir Belediyespor’s cycling team also delivered an impressive performance at the Yeşilay Turkish Road Cycling Championships held in Siirt.


Competing against 242 athletes across 10 categories, Konya Büyükşehir Belediyespor riders won a total of six medals, including two gold and four silver. The club also finished second in both the Junior Men’s and Elite Men’s team classifications, completing the championship with two team trophies.


On the opening day of the event, Göktürk Yüzerler claimed the gold medal in the U-19 Men’s individual time trial. Ramazan Yılmaz earned silver in the U-23 Men’s category, while Burak Abay also took silver after finishing second in the Elite Men’s division.


Konya Büyükşehir Belediyespor athletes maintained their strong performance in the two-day road races. Göktürk Yüzerler once again became champion in the U-19 Men’s category, while Mustafa Tarakcı secured silver in the U-23 Men’s race and Burak Abay added another silver medal by finishing second in the Elite Men’s event.


Following the road races, Konya Büyükşehir Belediyespor finished second in both the Junior Men’s and Elite Men’s team standings, capping off the championship with another notable achievement.
