Konya Cyclists Dominate Junior and Elite Categories

Konya Büyükşehir Belediyespor Cycling Team delivered an impressive performance at the Turkish Cup 1st Stage Road Races, drawing attention with its outstanding results.

The Turkish Cup 1st Stage Road Races, included in the 2026 activity program of the Turkish Cycling Federation, were held on February 13–15 in Alanya, Antalya.

Due to adverse weather conditions, the Elite Men’s Road Race was shortened to 85 kilometers. Representing Konya Büyükşehir Belediyespor, Ahmet Can Akpınar crossed the finish line in third place, claiming the bronze medal.

On the final day of the races, where the February 14 program had been cancelled due to security measures, Konya Büyükşehir Belediyespor once again secured a place on the podium and earned widespread applause.

In the Junior Men’s category, Muhammed Emir Emişci claimed the gold medal, while Göktürk Yüzerler secured the silver medal after finishing the race in second place.

Konya Büyükşehir Belediyespor achieved the same success in the Elite Men’s category as well. Ramazan Yılmaz won the gold medal and Mustafa Tarakcı took silver, while the yellow-and-black team finished second overall on the podium in this classification.
