Konya Hosts Turkey's Largest Kickboxing Event

Nearly 8,000 athletes from across Turkey are competing to become national athletes at the Turkey Open Kickboxing Tournament in Konya.

The Turkey Open Kickboxing Tournament is continuing at the Karatay Sports and Congress Center.

Athletes from approximately 8,000 participants from 81 provinces are competing in the tournament to become national athletes.

After the tournament, which will continue until July 9th, athletes who achieve rankings will represent Turkey at the European Youth Tournament in Hungary at the end of August as part of the national team.

Konya Youth Services and Sports Provincial Director Birdal Öztürk expressed happiness about hosting the tournament, stating, "We are pleased to host this tournament in Konya. We are organizing a major event with nearly 8,000 athletes competing. Of course, Konya offers all kinds of facilities both in terms of sports facilities and accommodation. All competitions are proceeding smoothly."
