Meram Belediyespor Claims Gold and Bronze at International Championship

The Meram team made a strong impact at the 11th Turkish Open WAKO World Cup, held in Antalya from May 12 to 17, 2026.


Organized as part of the 2026 activity program of the Turkish Kickboxing Federation, the event attracted significant international attention and brought together athletes from around the world. Competitors from Meram Belediyespor stood out with their performances, bringing pride to Konya and Meram.


This year’s championship hosted 2,985 athletes from 43 countries and 97 teams.


Over six days of competition, athletes competed across various categories, with Turkish fighters also achieving notable success.


Meram Belediyespor athlete Emircan Abdullah Beserek won the gold medal in his category after a series of successful bouts.


Beserek was praised for his disciplined approach and technical skill throughout the tournament by both coaches and spectators.


Another Meram Belediyespor athlete, Salih Yiğithan Talay, secured the bronze medal with a strong performance against tough opponents, adding another achievement to the club’s results.
