Competing in Germany, Yılmaz finished third in the U23 Men’s Omnium event to claim the bronze medal. His result marked a historic milestone for Turkish track cycling.
The bronze medal became Türkiye’s first-ever medal in the U23 category at the European Track Cycling Championships, following the country’s silver medal in the junior category in 2023.
With a consistent performance against Europe’s leading track cyclists, Ramazan Yılmaz earned a place on the podium and proudly represented Türkiye on the European stage.
Konya Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Uğur İbrahim Altay said Yılmaz’s historic achievement had made both Türkiye and Konya proud.
