Digital Transformation Award for Konya

Konya Metropolitan Municipality has achieved another significant success through the projects it has implemented in line with digitalization in public services and a data driven governance approach.

In the competition held as part of the Public Digital Transformation Summit organized by Public Informatics Association, the projects of Konya Metropolitan Municipality and the Konya Water and Sewerage Administration were awarded.

On the first day of the two day event held at the campus of the Information and Communication Technologies Authority in Ankara, a detailed presentation titled “Data Journey and Mobile Assistant Application” was delivered, focusing on various applications implemented by Konya Metropolitan Municipality within the scope of data driven city management.

Detailed information was shared on the Data Warehouse Workshops conducted to create a data inventory within the institution and across the city, the Local Data Inventory Platform, the Datavizyon Application used to monitor service performance, the Konya Tracking Application that enables real time monitoring of internet connected sensors, and other applications evaluated as data sources.

It was stated that the Mobile Assistant Application, Open Data Portal, and Business Intelligence applications are used as presentation interfaces for these applications for municipal management, field personnel, and citizens.

On the second day of the event, a presentation was delivered on the Online KOSKI Project, providing a detailed overview of a model digital transformation initiative. The presentation covered online services including subscription processes, billing transactions, invoice generation and correction, e-Installment payments, remote subscription agreements, infrastructure status certificates, corporate memberships and public institution services, the mobile neighborhood head application, as well as fault and service outage notifications, all implemented by the Konya Water and Sewerage Administration.

Within the competition held as part of the Public Digital Transformation Summit, the Mobile Assistant Application, implemented by Konya Metropolitan Municipality to support its data driven decision support mechanism, and the Online KOSKI Project, launched by the Konya Water and Sewerage Administration to advance digital transformation in service processes and water management, were awarded. The awards were presented during the summit.
