Konya Hosts AI and Cybersecurity Training

The Pergel Fellowship Program, conducted by the Konya Metropolitan Municipality Career Support and Training Center, hosted a significant training event on artificial intelligence and cybersecurity in collaboration with the Presidential Digital Transformation Office.

Held at the Kapsül Technology Platform in collaboration with the Presidential Digital Transformation Office, the training sessions brought participants together with experts in the field, providing them with in-depth insights into the present and future of technology.

In the first session of the program, Dr. Melike Palsü Kurt delivered a comprehensive presentation titled "Introduction to Artificial Intelligence and Fundamental Concepts," covering the history, core components, and applications of AI. The session explored key topics such as data preprocessing, machine learning, deep learning, and natural language processing, providing valuable insights into how artificial intelligence technologies are integrated into daily life.

In the second training session, Dr. Metehan Güzel explored the concept of Artificial General Intelligence (AGI) with a presentation titled “New Horizons in Artificial Intelligence: How Far Are We from AGI?” He emphasized that, unlike current AI applications, AGI aims to develop systems capable of thinking and making decisions like humans. The session also delved into the scientific and technological challenges on the path to AGI, along with the latest developments in the field.

In the final session of the day, Seda Bolat delivered a training titled “Cybersecurity in Real Life,” providing participants with insights into cyber threats, types of cyberattacks, and protection methods. She emphasized that cybersecurity is not just a technical issue but a critical aspect of both individual and corporate security. The session covered topics such as web security, network security, cyber threat intelligence, and AI security, while also detailing real-life cyberattack scenarios and the measures that can be taken to counter these threats.
