Konya Hosts High-Power Rocket Training

The Capsule Technology Platform, established by the Konya Metropolitan Municipality with the mission of contributing to Turkey's technological development, organized a "High-Power Rocket Training" session.

Participants designed and produced medium and high-altitude rockets during the training, which brought together rocket and aviation enthusiasts, and experienced a real launch event.

During the training process, participants learned rocket design using OpenRocket software and then completed the rocket production process at the Capsule Technology Platform.

After the theoretical and practical training sessions, the program concluded with a launch event held at the Saraçoğlu Sports Complex. One of the special guests of the event was Can Gökovalı, the TEKNOFEST champion and founder of the Gökova Aviation and Space Club.

Gökovalı, who formed the Gökova Rocket Team and achieved first place in Turkey in competitions sponsored by Roketsan, provided participants with detailed information about rocket design processes, launch techniques, and engineering stages throughout the event.

Gökovalı has previously mentored teams that achieved high rankings in TEKNOFEST competitions, particularly leading young people in developing their skills in rocket engineering and aviation.
