Konya Inspires Young Minds with Science

The “Summer Science Camps” organized by the Konya Science Center, which operates under the Konya Metropolitan Municipality, continue with great enthusiasm.

Konya Metropolitan Mayor Uğur İbrahim Altay visited the Konya Science Center, which operates with the mission of fostering a love for science, and met with the children attending the summer science camps.

Accompanying the experiments and projects carried out by the students in the activity areas, Mayor Altay interacted closely with the children and had friendly conversations with them.

Stating that Turkey’s first and largest science center, supported by TÜBİTAK and brought to the city by the Konya Metropolitan Municipality, has carried out significant work since its establishment, Mayor Altay made the following remarks:

“Science centers are special places that keep the imagination and curiosity of our young people alive. In this regard, our Konya Science Center is not just a building but part of a vision that shapes the future of our city. Serving as a meeting point with science for people of all ages, Konya Science Center continues its activities throughout the year to instill a love of science in our children and youth. Today, by visiting this hub of science and technology, we shared in our children’s excitement for science. The energy I witnessed here shows that we need to further increase our efforts to spark their interest in science. I sincerely thank our children, who bring life to this beautiful place, and their valuable families who encourage them towards science.”
