Konya Teams Shine at Robot Competition
Konya Metropolitan Municipality’s Capsule Technology Platform made a strong impression at the 17th International Robot Competition held in Kayseri from May 21 to 24.
Konya-based teams supported by Capsule Technology Platform stood out especially with their achievements in the Water Surface Robot category.
Under the umbrella of Capsule Technology Platform, five teams that received mentorship, training, workshop access, technical equipment, as well as travel and accommodation support, became a source of great pride by winning 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, and 5th places in this category.
Mayor of Konya Metropolitan Municipality, Uğur İbrahim Altay, said, “I sincerely congratulate all our young participants who represented Konya with great success at the 17th International Robot Competition. We are especially proud of our Capsule Technology Platform Teams, who brought us great joy by securing the top five positions in the Water Surface Robot category. As Konya Metropolitan Municipality, we will continue to stand by our youth on their journey in science, technology, and innovation.”
The winning teams were as follows:
- Capsule KCMA Team – 1st Place in the Water Surface Robot Category,
- Karatay BİLSEM Team – 2nd Place in the Water Surface Robot Category,
- Capsule ATÖ Team – 3rd Place in the Water Surface Robot Category,
- Capsule MA Team – 4th Place in the Water Surface Robot Category,
- Capsule BB Team – 5th Place in the Water Surface Robot Category.
Meanwhile, the Capsule Technology Platform Çumra Team also achieved success in a different field by securing 2nd place in Turkey in the “Design and Operate” category.
Konya Metropolitan Municipality’s Capsule Technology Platform aims to enhance the technical skills of young people and equip them to become capable individuals in the fields of engineering, production, and innovation, in line with Turkey’s National Technology Initiative goals.
