TEKNO-SEL 2025 Robotics Challenge Begins

The TEKNO-SEL 2025 Technology and Robotics Competition, organized in collaboration with Selcuklu Municipality, the Selcuklu District Directorate of National Education, and the KOP Regional Development Administration, has begun.

In the event taking place at the Selcuklu Municipality International Sports Hall over the course of three days, 1,060 students from 99 schools are fiercely competing with 567 robots to win top honors.

In his opening speech, Selcuklu Mayor Ahmet Pekyatırmacı said: “I am very happy and proud to be here with you today. Because this event is not just a competition; it is also a valuable platform where our youth—who are the guarantee of our future—showcase their imagination, technical knowledge, and skills.”

Konya Governor İbrahim Akın stated, “This multifaceted atmosphere is a tangible reflection of Konya’s trust in its youth and its hopes for the future. The projects presented here go beyond competition—they signal the rise of a generation that thinks critically, questions, and produces solutions. Our children, by using knowledge with courage, team spirit, and determination, will turn this experience into a milestone on their journey to becoming the engineers, software developers, and scientists of the future.”

KOP President Karakoyunlu said, “We are very pleased to be a part of the TEKNO-SEL Technology and Robotics Competition.”

After the speeches, the official opening of TEKNO-SEL 2025 was held by the protocol members, and the competitions began.
