The "Konya Smart City Strategy and Roadmap Introduction Program," which unveils Konya's 2030 Smart Cities Vision, was organized through collaboration between Konya Metropolitan Municipality and ASELSAN.
Speaking at the program held at the Selçuklu Congress Center, Konya Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Uğur İbrahim Altay recalled that as the Metropolitan Municipality, they have implemented dozens of different projects to make Konya, the capital of Anatolian culture and civilization, a capital in terms of "Smart City" as well.
Mayor Altay outlined some of the Smart City Applications they plan to implement by 2030 as follows:

"City Accessibility Map for the Disabled"
"As the first local government in Turkey to initiate work on the Metaverse, we aim to promote Metaverse applications in our city."
The program was attended by AK Party Konya Deputy Meryem Göka, Turkish Standards Institution (TSE) President Mahmut Sami Şahin, mayors, officials from public institutions and organizations, members of the press, and invited guests.
