New Tourism Attraction Rising at Beyşehir Lake

The landscaping project carried out by Konya Metropolitan Municipality at Beyşehir Yaka Monastery Nature Park has reached the final stage.

Konya Metropolitan Mayor Uğur İbrahim Altay, together with Beyşehir Mayor Adil Bayındır, conducted an inspection at Beyşehir Yaka Monastery Nature Park.

Mayor Altay stated that Beyşehir Lake is one of Konya’s most significant places with its natural beauty and water potential. He added that while efforts are being made to restore the lake to its former glory, they are also working diligently to create social spaces for visitors coming to Beyşehir.

Mayor Altay emphasized that the new facility in Beyşehir also holds great importance for tourism, saying, “I hope this facility, which we built at a cost of around 200 million lira, will be beneficial for both Beyşehir and our city of Konya. With the recently completed dual carriageway and the Demirkapı Tunnel, vehicle traffic in Beyşehir has significantly increased. This area offers the most beautiful view of the lake—you can witness all its colors from here. Hopefully, our city is gaining another valuable tourism destination. I wish it to be prosperous and beneficial.”
