Konya will host 7th Sufi Film Festival in May

The 7th Sufi Film Festival, to be hosted by Konya Metropolitan Municipality with the support of the General Directorate of Cinema under the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, will take cinema enthusiasts on a mystical journey between May 7 and 10.

Konya Metropolitan Municipality is organizing “Feature-Length Screenplay” and “Short Film” competitions as part of the 7th Sufi Film Festival.

THE FESTIVAL WILL SERVE AS A STRONG PLATFORM FOR IDEAS AND CREATION

Bringing together Konya’s profound intellectual and spiritual heritage with the art of modern cinema, this year’s festival will focus on the theme of “Sufism.”

The event will gather directors, producers, screenwriters, and film critics from different parts of the world. Selected works from documentary, fiction, animation, and folk cinema will be screened at various venues across Konya.

With panels, director talks, and cinema workshops, the festival will not only be a screening space but also a powerful platform for ideas and creative production.

As a meeting point for stories that journey from the heart to the screen, the 7th Sufi Film Festival will continue to explore the pursuit of truth through the language of cinema.
