Economic Activity Gains Momentum in Konya

Konya has recently seen significant developments in its economy, with new investments, trade projects, and industrial initiatives taking center stage.

The Metropolitan Municipality will hold the tender for a new trade center on August 26, 2025. Valued at 1.75 billion TL, the project is expected to boost the city’s commercial potential.

In agriculture and education, a protocol signed between the Konya Governorship, the Provincial Directorate of National Education, and the Konya Sugar Beet Growers’ Cooperative aims to involve young people in agricultural production. The program will provide hands-on training, scholarships, and internship opportunities.

Industrial investments are also on the rise. Meydan Group is working on establishing a new factory in the Çumra Organized Industrial Zone, covering 50,000 square meters. The facility is expected to create new jobs in the region.

Additionally, the Konya branch of the Anatolian Lions Businessmen’s Association (ASKON) continues to support small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) with programs designed to strengthen corporate structures and expand production, investment, and export capacities.
