From Konya to Florida

Special pool salt obtained from Türkiye’s Lake Tuz continues to be exported to more than 70 countries, with particularly strong demand from the United States.

Located at the intersection of Konya, Ankara, and Aksaray, Lake Tuz is one of Türkiye’s most important natural salt resources. The salt extracted from the lake is processed in advanced facilities and transformed into value-added products for various industries.

With an annual production of approximately 1.3 million tons of raw material and 400,000 tons of finished products, the operation is structured to serve around 25 different sectors. Within this range, pool salt has emerged as one of the leading export products.

In the US state of Florida, pool salt produced from Lake Tuz is widely used in the maintenance of private swimming pools, which are common due to the region’s warm climate and outdoor lifestyle. The product is sold in hardware and DIY retail stores and used in pool sanitation and disinfection systems.

Its high purity level, along with customized grain sizes and packaging options tailored to different needs, has strengthened its competitiveness in international markets. In recent years, pool salt sourced from Lake Tuz has maintained stable export volumes to the United States, particularly to Florida.
