Karatay Mevlana Rose Park said “Hello” to the new season. 

Located on an area of 14 thousand square meters in Karaaslan Üzümcü Neighbourhood, the park welcomes its visitors with a total of 50 thousand roses of 190 different species.

Turning into a visual feast with its riot of colours, the park also offers its guests unforgettable moments with its beautiful scents. Having hosted tens of thousands of people since the day it opened, Karatay Mevlana Rose Park has become one of the frequent destinations especially for nature lovers and photography enthusiasts.

A UNIQUE AREA FOR PHOTOGRAPHY ENTHUSIASTS

Many objects in the park, such as shaded swings, rose umbrella, gazebo, rose arch, traverse walking paths and rose trees, offer visitors both a peaceful atmosphere and an aesthetically impressive experience. Creating a natural studio environment for professional or amateur photographers, Karatay Mevlana Rose Park continues to be Konya’s new living and recreation area.

Karatay Mayor Hasan Kılca invited all Karatay residents to the park, stating that they were happy to have reached the days when rose scents are felt again.

Mayor Kılca said, “We have reached rose-scented days again. Our Karatay Mevlana Rose Park has turned into a riot of colours. In our park, where hundreds of varieties of roses are found, we experience the peace of being intertwined with the most beautiful tones of nature. Mevlana Rose Park, which offers a visual feast with its colourful appearance, has become a unique place where our fellow citizens can create colourful memories with their families, breathe and integrate with nature.”

Emphasizing that, as Karatay Municipality, they will continue to implement projects that are environmentally friendly, aesthetic and supportive of social life, Mayor Hasan Kılca said that Mevlana Rose Park is one of the important examples of this understanding. Mayor Kılca said, “I invite all our citizens to see this beauty on site and to experience pleasant moments accompanied by the scents of roses. Sharing these beauties together and enjoying the natural richness of our city together will be our greatest happiness.”
