Konya Among Türkiye’s Leading Economic Centers

Konya Among Türkiye’s Leading Economic Centers

Konya’s industry continues to make a strong contribution to Türkiye’s production and export capacity in 2026. The city’s exports have exceeded 4 billion dollars, reinforcing its position as one of the country’s leading production and trade centers.

Representatives from Konya’s business community held meetings with the Ministry of Trade to evaluate the current state of exports and discuss strategies for further growth. During these discussions, it was emphasized that the Turkish economy has maintained its growth momentum in 2026 despite global economic fluctuations. Türkiye, which surpassed a 1.3 trillion dollar economy in recent years, continues to expand through exports, with total export figures approaching 280 billion dollars. Improvements in the foreign trade balance and disciplined economic policies have also contributed to financial stability and a gradual reduction in the trade deficit.

Konya stands out as one of the key contributors to this performance. With its strong industrial infrastructure, diversified production capacity, and expanding global market network, the city has surpassed 4 billion dollars in annual exports. Its export-driven ecosystem continues to support national growth targets and strengthen Türkiye’s position in international trade.

Ongoing support for exporters and sustained cooperation between the public sector and the business community are expected to further enhance Konya’s role in Türkiye’s long-term economic vision.
