In September, Konya achieved its highest monthly export figure in history, with a 12.1% increase, reaching $328.3 million in exports.
In September, when Turkey increased its exports by 0.3%, Konya accounted for 1.7% of Turkey's total exports. The export figure for the first 9 months also reached $2.508 billion, with a 3.3% increase. With this figure, Konya became the 10th city with the highest exports.
The Turkish Exporters Assembly (TİM) has released the export data for September. Selçuk Öztürk, the President of the Konya Chamber of Commerce, evaluated the export figures, stating, "In September 2023, Turkey's exports increased by 0.3% compared to the same month last year, reaching $22.67 billion. Konya's exports in September also increased by 12.1%, totaling $328,312,277. In September, Konya accounted for 1.70% of Turkey's total exports. Our city's 9-month export performance for the period covering January to September 2023 also increased by 3.3% compared to the same period last year, reaching $2,508,272,000. According to these figures, Konya ranks 10th among the cities with the highest exports. It is gratifying that Konya achieved its highest export figure in history in September. We will continue to collaborate with our companies to achieve even higher export growth for Konya, which ranks among the leading cities in terms of the number of exporting firms. Mustafa Büyükeğen, the President of the Konya Chamber of Industry, stated that Konya achieved an export figure of $2.508 billion from January to September and said, "Konya's industrialists have continued production and exports, bringing our city to its highest ever export figure for the January-September period."
