Konya Economy Forum Begins

The opening ceremony of the "Konya Economy Forum", organized in cooperation with the Konya Chamber of Industry and Economy Newspaper, was held with the participation of Governor Vahdettin Özkan.

At the forum, which brought together industrialists, businesspeople, and academics who shape the city's economy, Konya's economic potential and future strategies were discussed.

Governor Özkan stated, "I want to express my great satisfaction with the organization of such a meeting in our city. It is important to conduct a good analysis, make healthy and rational assessments of the needs of individuals, the city, and the country, and determine strategies. The activities to implement these strategies, who will carry out these activities, and the importance of interaction, communication, and organization between the units executing these activities should be emphasized. The initiatives of our Chamber of Industry in this direction are also commendable. I congratulate our Chamber of Industry president and our industrialists. By inviting distinguished economists to our city, this event aims to answer and support the questions of what needs to be done for the development of our city and what tasks fall to each of us, together with our chamber."

Governor Özkan stated, "In line with our industrial strategy, we must shape our global competitiveness with high value-added products that are sensitive to R&D and the environment. Konya stands out as a city where people, in solidarity, enhance individual quality of life and embrace green transformation to increase global competitiveness."
