Konya Metropolitan Municipality continues to make significant strides in renewable energy, adding a new project to its growing list of sustainable investments.
The new Solar Power Plant, to be constructed on a 100-hectare site in the Saraçoğlu neighborhood, is set to be one of the largest renewable energy projects in the city. With an investment of approximately 2 billion TL, the plant will play a key role in reducing carbon emissions while meeting the growing energy demands of the region.
Mayor Altay highlighted that this initiative is in line with the city’s vision of a sustainable future, emphasizing the municipality's ongoing efforts to set an example in renewable energy investments. He also expressed his thanks to Murat Kurum, the Minister of Environment, Urbanization, and Climate Change, and Recep Türk, General Manager of İLBANK, for their valuable support in bringing the project to life.
