Konya Maintains Strength in Production and Exports

Konya continued to stand out with its production-driven economy and export capacity amid ongoing global economic challenges, while the city’s April export performance underscored the sustained strength of its industrial and commercial sectors.


Despite the challenging conditions in the global economy, Öztürk stated that Türkiye continues to show resilience through its production strength and drew attention to Konya’s export performance in April.


Speaking at the 9th Professional Committee Consultation Meeting on Retail Trade in Shopping Centers, Supermarkets and Grocery Stores organized by the Konya Chamber of Commerce, KTO President Selçuk Öztürk emphasized that the sector plays a critical role in combating inflation, stating: “The balanced functioning of our sector is extremely important in ensuring price stability, maintaining uninterrupted product supply, and protecting consumers.”


Speaking at the meeting, Selçuk Öztürk, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Konya Chamber of Commerce, stated that the consultation meetings have been productive in resolving sector-related issues and exchanging views and suggestions.


Referring to the challenging period facing the global economy, Selçuk Öztürk stated that despite these conditions, Türkiye continues to manage the process resiliently through its production strength, industrial infrastructure, and entrepreneurial capacity.


Emphasizing that Konya continues to maintain its production and export-oriented growth during this period, Selçuk Öztürk said: “With its industry, agriculture, trade, and entrepreneurial culture, our city continues to be one of Anatolia’s production hubs. The export figures we achieved particularly in April once again demonstrated the determination and production strength of Konya’s business community. Konya’s exports continue to show strong performance in many sectors, especially machinery, automotive sub-industry, defense industry, food, and agriculture.”
