In Konya, Vocational and Technical High Schools ranked
fourth in generating income with 48 million 451 thousand Turkish Liras.
Minister of National Education, Mahmut Özer, announced that
vocational and technical high schools with revolving funds increased their
income in the first three months of the year to 932 million Turkish Liras, a
175 percent increase compared to the same period of the previous year. In terms
of revolving fund operations, Konya ranked fourth in the first three months of
this year.
In his written statement, Özer emphasized that vocational
schools are progressing steadily toward their production target of 3.5 billion
Turkish Liras this year.
Özer reported that in the first three months of this year,
Istanbul, Gaziantep, Ankara, Konya, and Sanliurfa were the top five provinces
in terms of generating the highest income through revolving fund operations. He
stated that Istanbul increased its income to 148 million 223 thousand Turkish
Liras, while Gaziantep's income reached 110 million 497 thousand Turkish Liras.
Minister of National Education Özer provided information
that "Ankara ranked third with an income of 85 million 71 thousand Turkish
Liras, Konya ranked fourth with an income of 48 million 451 thousand Turkish
Liras. Şanlıurfa took fifth place with an income of 40 million 995 thousand
Turkish Liras."
Özer also reported that the areas that generated the most
income in the first three months of the year were respectively food and
beverage services, furniture and interior design, metal technology,
accommodation and travel services, and chemical technology.
