The sterilization unit of Selçuk University Faculty of Medicine Hospital has been completely renovated and modernized to enhance healthcare quality standards and maximize patient safety.
The sterilization unit, which has been in operation since 2009 at Selçuk University Faculty of Medicine Hospital, has been completely renovated and transformed into a modern facility in line with advancing technology and growing needs.
Equipped with next-generation technological devices, the unit has been upgraded to meet current medical requirements through advanced systems and expanded storage areas.
With the renovated sterilization unit, it is aimed to ensure the safer, faster, and more effective sterilization of surgical instruments and medical equipment.
Deputy Chief Physician Bahar Öç stated that the sterilization unit has been organized in full compliance with healthcare quality standards and relevant regulations, expressing confidence that the quality of services provided at Selçuk University Faculty of Medicine Hospital will continue to improve each day. She emphasized that modernizing this unit, which is critically important for patient safety and infection control, will have a positive impact across all healthcare services offered by the hospital.
Noting that the renovation works have enabled the unit to reach the capacity required to meet current medical needs, Öç said that with four new autoclaves, two hydrogen peroxide devices, as well as new washing units and storage areas, services are now being provided in full compliance with standards.
