Investigations Underway in Historical Mosques in Karatay

Karatay Municipality Mayor Hasan Kılca, together with Konya Foundations Regional Director Yılmaz Kılınç, conducted inspections in the district at historical mosques and masjids built during the Seljuk, Ottoman, and subsequent periods.

Mayor Hasan Kılca and Regional Director Yılmaz Kılınç discussed the current condition of the historical mosques and places of worship, as well as the planned restoration, organization, and renewal efforts for these structures. They also consulted on the contributions of Karatay Municipality in this regard.

Mayor Hasan Kılca emphasized that throughout history, mosques and masjids have held a central position not only as places of worship and state institutions but also as significant centers for education, social, political, and cultural services.
