The premiere of the play “One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest” was staged by the Konya Metropolitan Municipality City Theatre.
Staged at the Selçuklu Congress Center, the renowned masterpiece by American author Ken Kesey attracted great interest from theatre lovers.
Adapted for the stage by Dale Wasserman and brought into Turkish through the translation of Bilge Koloğlu, the work was staged under the direction and script adaptation of Tolga Özenç Özençel by the Konya Metropolitan Municipality City Theatre.
The play, which explores the conflict between authority and the individual and questions the gray area between heroism and self-interest, received full marks from the audience.
Theatregoers said they watched the play with great excitement, praising the performances and stage design as highly successful, and thanked everyone involved.
