Step into History

Selçuklu Municipality's restorations in historic Sille are driving strong visitor interest and tourism in Konya.

In 2025, Aya Elenia, the Time Museum, and the Sille Museum welcomed a total of 324,873 visitors. Sille, one of Konya's oldest settlements, continues to draw strong interest thanks to restoration works by Selçuklu Municipality.

The Sille Museum features key heritage exhibits such as the Kisve-i Şerif, manuscripts, scale models, pottery and carpets, while Turkey's first Time Museum (restored in 2012) displays historic clocks, calendars and sundial examples. Aya Elenia-built in 327 by Helena and known as the world's oldest standing church—now serves as a museum; all three sites are open 09:00-18:00, six days a week except Mondays.
